Just Who is Rash Behaviour?
Founded in 2001, Rash Behaviour is a New York City based
improv and sketch comedy group that is made up of various improv performers
with training from across the country. The groups’ sketch material
skewers everything from the television and media to the government and
beyond. In the world of Rash Behaviour things like racism, sexism, and
pop culture crazes become fodder for comic debate.
Rash Behaviour's shows also feature their own brand of free form improvisation,
inspired by the many disciplines learned individually by each member.
Audience members can't be shy either, because the long form improvisations
are made up of their funny personal interests and details gathered by
members of the group throughout the show.
In addition to live performances, Rash Behaviour recently completed a
television pilot that is currently in post-production. The group also
starred in the documentary Confederate Behaviour, by director Eric Trenkamp.
This film was awarded Honorable Mention at the 2003 New York International
Independent Film and Video Festival and went on to the Los Angeles Festival
in 2004. Individually, members of Rash Behaviour have appeared on such
shows/networks as Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Strangers With
Candy, SNL, The Chris Rock Show, Nick at Nite, and yes, even The History
Channel.
